چکیده
We will calculate completely the Grothendieck rings, in the sense of first order logic, of o-minimal expansions of ordered abelian groups by introducing the notion of the bounded Euler characteristic.

A Simple Proof of the Marker-steinhorn Theorem for Expansions of Ordered Abelian Groups
We give a short and self-contained proof of the MarkerSteinhorn Theorem for o-minimal expansions of ordered groups, based on an analysis of linear orders definable in such structures.
متن کاملTame topology over dp-minimal structures
In this paper we develop tame topology over dp-minimal structures equipped with definable uniformities satisfying certain assumptions. Our assumptions are enough to ensure that definable sets are tame: there is a good notion of dimension on definable sets, definable functions are almost everywhere continuous, and definable sets are finite unions of graphs of definable continuous “multi-valued f...
متن کاملGrothendieck Groups of Abelian Group Rings
Let R be a noetherian ring, and G(R) the Grothendieck group of finitely generated modules over R. For a finite abelian group n, we describe G(Rn) as the direct sum of groups G(R’). Each R’ is the form RI<,,, I/n], where n is a positive integer and Cn a primitive nth root of unity. As an application, we describe the structure of the Grothendieck group of pairs (H. u), where His an abelian group ...
متن کاملStructures Having O-minimal Open Core*
The open core of an expansion of a dense linear order is its reduct, in the sense of definability, generated by the collection of all of its open definable sets. In this paper, expansions of dense linear orders that have o-minimal open core are investigated, with emphasis on expansions of densely ordered groups. The first main result establishes conditions under which an expansion of a densely ...
متن کاملDense Pairs of O-minimal Structures
The structure of definable sets and maps in dense elementary pairs of o-minimal expansions of ordered abelian groups is described. It turns out that a certain notion of “small definable set” plays a special role in this description. Introduction. In a classical paper [8] A. Robinson proved the completeness of the theory of real closed fields with a predicate for a proper dense real closed subfi...
